Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Hairdressers.io collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Hairdressers.io is operated under the Hairdressers.io brand. All privacy requests go to support@hairdressers.io.

What we collect

If you sign up on this website

We collect the email address you enter, the confirmation status of that address, which part of the site you signed up from, and standard request data such as your IP address and browser user agent, which we keep for abuse prevention. If you arrived through a campaign link, we also store the campaign parameters in that link.

We do not collect a card number on this website. Nothing on this site charges you.

If you use the live demo

The demo runs in your browser. The salon name, city, service selection and price band you enter are sent to our server only so that page copy can be written for them, and are not stored against you or used to build a profile. Nothing you do in the demo creates a booking or a listing.

If you become a customer

We process the data you put into the product in order to run it for you: your services, your team, your calendar, and your clients' contact details, appointment history and notes. For that data, you are the controller and we are the processor. It is your client list. We act on your instructions and we do not use it for our own purposes.

What we never do

• We do not sell, rent or share your data, or your clients' data, with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not email your clients for our own marketing.
• We do not use your client list to build a directory profile you did not ask for.

Why we process it

• To provide the service you asked for, which is the performance of our agreement with you.
• To send you the confirmation code and the messages you have asked for, on the basis of your consent.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, which is our legitimate interest.
• To meet legal obligations, such as keeping billing records.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need in order to run the product: hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, and, for the demo's written copy, an AI text provider that receives the salon name, city and service list you typed and nothing else. Each is bound to process the data only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Signup records are kept while your interest is live and deleted on request. Customer data is kept while your account exists, and deleted on request after it closes, including from backups on their normal rotation. Abuse-prevention records such as IP addresses are kept for a short period and then discarded.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or hand it over in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent for email at any time. Email support@hairdressers.io and we will act on it, and confirm when it is done. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use a session cookie so the site works and a security token cookie to prevent cross-site request forgery. Both are necessary for the site to function. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on this site.

Security

Connections are encrypted in transit, data is encrypted at rest, and staff access follows least privilege. What we do and, just as importantly, what we do not claim, is set out on the security page.

International transfers

Our infrastructure providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on the standard contractual safeguards for such transfers.

Children

This is a product for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will email people who have signed up.
